Evaluation of the Economy of Selected Voluntary Association of Municipalities

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is the economic activities of the voluntary association of municipalities Valašsko Horní – Vsacko. The goal of the work is evaluation of economic activities of this voluntary association of municipalities. The work is divided into the parts, the theoretical part, the practical part and the design part. In the theoretical part we will be dealing with budgetary system and then general characteristics of the voluntary association of municipalities. In the practical part we will focus on the revenues and expenses in individual years of the observed period, and also on the evaluation of the management of funds of the association. In the last part we will pursue the design of a project, which should contribute to development of the region.
Use of the register of municipalities for investment purposes

This thesis focuses on the analysis and the use of the register of voluntary associations of municipalities. The theoretical part of the work is focused on defining the cooperation of municipalities, namely voluntary associations of municipalities, and funding op-portunities for public investment. The practical part deals with the analysis of public associations of municipalities of the South Moravian region, which was part of a specific research. They are then matched funding options selected project independent community through the voluntary association of municipalities.
Communication in building a technical infrastructure for regional development

Diploma thesis „Communication In Building A Technical Infrastructure For Regional Development“ deals with communication between municipality and citizens, local technical infrastructure conditions, regional development, and municipality cooperation. In the theoretical section, there are explained basic terms and described topics of communication, technical infrastructure, and regional development. In the empirical section, there is analyzed the quantitative citizen research in the South Moravia region and the qualitative research based on interviews with mayors. The conclusion contains the evaluation of the research results and possible recommendations.
Possibilities and limits of co-operation of rural municipalities. Case study of municipalities in the region of the Bohemian Paradise

The presented thesis focuses on the phenomenon of the cooperation of rural municipalities. The cooperative mechanism is one of possible ways for small municipalities to solve problems resulting from their limited financial, material and human resources. The cooperation with neighbouring municipalities or other actors of spatial development allows them to realize projects and activities, that they otherwise could not realize themselves because of the costs or spatial extent of the project or activity beyond their territory. The main objective of the thesis is to classify several types of the cooperation in rural region and to apply these classifications to the model region. First the fundamental theoretical background and external and internal factors affecting the cooperation of municipalities are discussed. Further several classifications of the cooperation were compiled based on theoretical findings and recent research results. As research method, applied in model region, guided interviews with representatives of the selected rural municipalities were chosen. Cooperation of Municipalities in a Region (Case study - region Benešov)

The purpose of this thesis is to identify different kinds of horizontal cooperation of municipalities in the region Benešov. It shows which factors are affecting this cooperation, sustainability and benefits for the regional development. The theoretical part provides definitions of the forms of the horizontal cooperation, which are extracted from the literature. There is described a chosen region and its towns and municipalities are introduced. Information is gained from selected documents, by analysis of documents and by interviews with representatives of chosen municipalities. The practical part describes the current cooperation of municipalities in that region, which can have various forms. For example MAS groups, associations, microregions etc. The result of this thesis is analysis these kinds of cooperation and possible proposal to beneficial management of cooperation.
Local actors and social networks in the Šumava national park

This thesis focuses on the issue of the development of the Šumava National Park, which is in the long-term determined by external political and social circumstances. In terms of the local development there are defined key actors whose activities and level of their cooperation affects the quality of social capital, which influences the character of horizontal and vertical social networks. An important aspect of the social-economic development of the case study area is the relationship between local municipalities and the Šumava National park management, whose activities are regulated by specific laws. Based on field survey of representatives of local development we identified key factors forming this relationship and affecting the social development of the protected area. Forms of Co-operation Between Municipalities

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the problematics of municipalities in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis studies forms in which the municipalities can co-operate, legal measures, reasons and motivation that lead them towards the formation of collaboration. The second part of the thesis studies a chosen representative sample of villages and uses a questionnare method to research the reasons for collaboration and the most frequent form of co-operation. In the concluding part of the thesis, there are determined pros and cons of the sample.
